A Day of Exciting Football
Umuri Sports Club shone brightly at the TAF Tournament held on October 5, 2024. Organized by The Folks Africa, this one-day event featured four teams of talented young players, all under the age of 15, from different District of Kigali.
Umuri Sports Club showed great teamwork and skill, leading them to victory. They were awarded a trophy and a new football for their hard work. The second-place team, Citizen FC, also played very well and was given a football as a reward.
More Than Just a Game
The TAF Tournament is about more than winning. It aims to raise awareness about the challenges faced by young athletes, like not having enough food and dealing with mental health issues. The event gives these young players a chance to show their talent and inspire them to keep chasing their dreams.
Inspiring Future Stars
The tournament also included a documentary and a podcast series. Selected players got to meet and talk with famous football legends, giving them valuable advice and motivation to keep improving.
